This is the dream machine for BSD Network, it will have Linux or BSD if is posible, and 100 mbps to give a real service 
, so we hope it dont take long to come

:( I think is not possible, nobody have been capable to port any opensource operating system to R14000 (obviusly R16000 too) .
You’ll have to run it with irix.
